As the college sailing season winds down, we have plenty to be proud about a few of our alums who are sailing in the varsity level college sport.

Ian Barrows '13, who sails for Yale University, was named to the All-NEISA team and as one of two finalists for the NEISA "New England Sailor of the Year." He was beat out by his teammate Graham Landy, but not without another honor bestowed upon him. The individual teams of NEISA voted Barrows as the "New England Sportsman of the Year." This award is an incredible honor, and a testament to type of competitor Barrows is on and off the water. Yale's Coach Bill Healy commented, "Ian has a great outlook on competition. He can carry his friendly off-the-water personality to the race course and still have a fierce desire to win while not losing the respect of his competitors."

Also winning a place on the All-NEISA First Women's Team is Nikole Barnes '12, sailing for Coast Guard Academy.

Alec Tayler '13 recieved an honorable mention for this performance in the MAISA district.
