St. Thomas and St. John experienced two category five hurricanes within two weeks in September. Many families lost part or all of their homes, their livelihoods, and tragically some families lost loved ones. With the widespread damage to homes and businesses throughout the territory, many families have relocated temporarily to the US mainland.
Antilles School reopened just five days after Hurricane Maria to restore a sense of normalcy and routine for families across St. Thomas and St. John. For many families, Antilles is one of the very few options available to continue their children's education this year without significant interruption. The financial challenges we all face after Hurricanes Irma and Maria are painful.
For this reason, tuition assistance is our top philanthropic priority. Opening our doors to families across St. Thomas and St. John strengthens spirits and gives hope for a brighter future. Please join us in rebuilding and revitalizing the Virgin Islands through an investment in our youth. Your generous partnership will pay dividends immediately and for generations to come. To donate please visit our giving page.
Antilles School is essential to the people and future of St. Thomas and the territory. Our alumni go on to top universities across the United States based on their accomplishments in academics, the arts, and athletics.
Some donors may realize tax advantages through alternative giving vehicles (e.g. donating securities et cetera). If you have any questions about giving to Antilles please contact Jeff McGuinness, Director of Advancement at +1 (603) 520-4854 (Please note, Antilles phone systems are currently off line as a result of Hurricanes Irma and Maria.)
Thank you in advance for your consideration and your generous support,
Head of Antilles School
