International Capital & Management Company, in partnership with The University of the Virgin Islands School of Business, will be hosting the Entrepreneur Business Institute, a FREE summer program for students currently in grades 10-12that is designed to help students develop important entrepreneurial, leadership and business skills, while providing them with insight into the college experience and campus life. Shaine and Lauren Gaspard's daughter, Ella, suffers from a rare neurological disorder called Rett's Syndrome. The Ella's Hope Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands (CFVI), will hold Ella's Hope Walk/Run at 7AM, Saturday, April 15, (the day before Easter) at Port of Sale Mall, Mandela Circle, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. The Copenhagen Temple Band has been serving the community in Copenhagen for 125 years. Formed in 1892, it was the first Salvation Army Corps Band in the Danish Territory, and is now the oldest brass band in Denmark. The band will have several events in 2017 to celebrate the anniversary- one of them being the visit to St. Thomas.

The Rotary Sunrise Kids Triathlon is scheduled for Saturday, April 1 at Magens Bay. All students ages 5-15 are welcome. Kids may participate as an individual or on a team of two or three people. Since 2005 the lively members of the Ensemble Schumann are Thomas Gallant, oboe; Steve Larson, viola; and Sally Pinkas, piano; who present works by their name-sake Robert Schumann, as well as by Johannes Brahms, Camille Saint-Saëns, Charles Loeffler, Francis Poulenc, Dmitri Shostakovich, and others. Gallant, Larson and Pinkas have each performed at the Lincoln Center, the Frick Collection and Carnegie Hall in New York City.

In Shakespeare's lifetime, Italy was a land of many small city-states in constant warfare with one another, but this same country was also the cradle of the Renaissance, with its astounding explosion of art and science. The image invoked by the story's setting in the ancient city of Verona, then, is a beautiful but dangerous world where poetry or violence might erupt at any moment. The Met's new production moves the action to the 18th century.

ICMC invites the whole community to join in for the Centennial Edition of Jazz in the Park on Saturday, February 25th from 4-10PM in Roosevelt Park, St. Thomas. Enjoy live jazz with Stanley and the Ten Sleepless Knights, Khemistry, Louis Taylor and the Caribbean Project, VI Rhythm Section Jazz Band and more. There will be a street bazaar, food, arts and crafts and kid zone. Admission is free.
