Support for Every Learner

Support for Every Learner

A block tower in the Early Learning Center, a learning passport in the Student Success Center and one senior’s piece of a Class of 2027 puzzle may look like very different things. At Antilles, each reflects the same commitment: knowing students well enough to give them the support, challenge and opportunities they need at every stage of their growth.

For Middle and Upper School students, that means helping them understand how they learn and take greater ownership of what comes next. The Academic Success Center, led by Academic Support Team members Blakely Bell and Malen Adams, gives students a flexible place to study, work in small groups, connect with peer tutors or pursue an interest more deeply.

New learning passports will help students identify their strengths, challenges and the strategies that work best for them, making academic support a resource for every learner—whether they are working through a challenge or ready for a new one.

The same intentional approach begins with Antilles’ youngest students, whose classrooms use play to build early math, language, cooperation, empathy and motor skills, and continues through senior year.

During their Water Island retreat, members of the Class of 2027 reflected on where they hope to be by December and five years from now, considered how they want to lead during their final year and decorated individual puzzle pieces they will assemble back on campus.

Across every stage, Antilles creates the spaces and experiences students need to understand themselves, stretch beyond what is familiar and keep moving forward.
