It's All Love

"It's all love," was Dave Mochel's mantra to faculty throughout the day on Monday.

This phrase emphasized his lessons in gratitude, mindfulness, and our constant choice between reaction and response. "Life is always going to happen," Dave said, "and we are constantly faced with the opportunity to choose what we do and how we respond to it. Making the right choices as adults sets a positive example for students and lays the foundation for Antilles' institutional goal of creating a positive school culture."

Many thanks to Shannon Harris and Liz Morrison for organizing this insightful experience. Special thanks to Dave Mochel and Applied Attention for donating his consultation.

Thank You for Making #AntillesStronger

Antilles participated in the sixth annual #GivingTuesday, an initiative celebrating generosity and philanthropy.

Antilles' Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter feeds (link each) highlighted our students and faculty throughout the day. Thanks to all who supported our students and programs as and helped to make  #AntillesStronger.

One of our most popular photos was our Expressions Chorale rehearsing for their performance tonight.  You can see them perform tonight at 6:30 at Yacht Haven Grande's Tree Lighting festivities. Hope to see you there.

A Reason to Work

Congratulations to the starting four of the Class of 2018! Jack Habib, Cameron Newton, Michael Derrickson, and Micah Hill have each received early acceptance to universities in Florida, Georgia, Arizona, and North Carolina.

The college process is filled with teachable moments, and Dr. Borras said she's been inspired at how engaged the seniors have been in this endeavor. Lack of power and connectivity became surmountable obstacles, which the seniors turned into opportunities.

We are looking forward to see what colleges will be welcoming our newest alumni next fall. Well done and good luck the rest of the way!

A  Day of 100's

Wednesday, second grade students had the opportunity to teach their parents as part of their science fair – which included a quiz! Our budding botanists have spent weeks in the field learning about plants on nature walks around campus.

Parents learned about photosynthesis and were shown a variety of experiments. Thank you to the parents who participated – scoring both 100% on the quiz and 100% on attendance!

Jackson Complex | Rev It Up Nutrition Reopens!

Need a smoothie? Our own Amy Cummings is back at the Jackson Complex serving up her delicious Rev It Up Nutrition shakes and snacks. Students can stop by before and after school (not during the school day) for a healthy bite - and we look forward to seeing our parents, faculty and staff there during the day!

Athletic Board | Scores & Updates

Our Hurricanes athletes have been tearing it up on the court and field! Thanks to our parents for coming out to support both girls' and boys' volleyball teams, along with our flag football-ers. If you missed out on the action, no worries - we've got all the scores for you on our website along with dates and times for future games. Congrats to our Varsity flag football team for its 42-0 win over CAHS and 20-6 win over All Saints, along with our Varsity girls volleyball team, which beat Montessori Thursday in two sets.

Boy Scouts | Fire Station Tour December 4

All Cub Scouts are invited on a guided tour of the brand new Omar Brown Sr. Fire Station at 5:30PM on Monday, December 4. Scouts will have a chance to meet and speak with the highly-trained fire fighters who keep us safe, learn about and explore the station and the fire engines.

The fire station is located on William G Lewis Lane, across from Barbel Plaza, just south of Charlotte Amalie High School on Sugar Estate Road, and just north of Yacht Haven Grande on Veterans Drive. Scouts will meet at the fire station.

Giving Tree Toy Drive

The Interact Club is collecting gifts for its annual Giving Tree drive to benefit the V.I.  Department of Human Services. Gifts can be dropped off in the Upper School Library under the tree - we ask that they be wrapped and include a tag that indicates gender and age range for the gift. Anyone is welcome to participate.

PTA Parent Holiday Social | December 7

Join the PTA for holiday food, beverages and mingling! Babysitting will be provided free of charge in the Lower School Library, starting at 5:30PM on Thursday, December 7. RSVP at or go to our PTA Facebook page.

Holiday Bazaar | December 10

It's 10 days away! The Holiday Bazaar will be in the Upper School courtyard on Sunday, December 10. Please save the date and plan to participate.

This is a great opportunity for younger shoppers to pick out gifts for family members or loved ones! Donations of small, gently used items would be much appreciated; please deliver to Mrs. Punky Sharp in the School bookstore, or call (340) 626-9592.

Volunteers are welcome to assist with the event or setting up a booth! Please email us if you are interested or register on our website.
