Antilles e-Newsletter for Parents | February 15

It's Donor Love Week!

It was our pleasure this week to show a little love to faculty and families who supported us this year. Thank you! You have truly helped make #AntillesStronger. A special thanks to John Kirkland and Discover Fund for the generous matching gift challenge - and of course, thanks to all who helped us succeed in reaching this goal!

The 2017 Review is our annual report and expresses gratitude to our many generous donors who supported the school in 2016-2017, while celebrating the accomplishments of our students. We value and appreciate all those who supported us, and the dedication, effort, and talent of our faculty, administration and trustees in building a richer, more meaningful experience for our entire School community. You are loved!

Happy Valentine's Day

TLC students celebrated Valentine's Day with a special sing-a-long for parents. Thanks to Judy Brady, Celine Otto, and Bela Pescatore for your time in organizing Wednesday's performance, enjoyed by the parents of the Class of 2033.

The Return of the Big Love Ball

Passing the "Big Love Ball" around at Friday's morning meeting gave ELC and Lower School students the chance to have some fun while demonstrating how they can be kind to one another.

Being mindful of our friends and their feelings are just a few of the lessons school counselor Verian Tuttle has explored this month while teaching about caring, and Friday's exercise allowed students to practice what they've learned. Many thanks to Verian for the valuable lesson, and to Barb Michaud for bringing the "Big Love Ball" to campus!

Our Canes Care

Middle School students participated Thursday in Canes Care Day of Service. Working in groups, our sixth through eighth graders organized classrooms, read to Lower Schoolers, and cleaned up across campus.

Veronica Leinenbach '22 said, "Every student should take the time to volunteer around campus. Working together, not only can we make the school better now, but we can get other students into the habit so the school can stay better for future generations."

Upper School students will take these efforts off campus next week as they work with community-service organization, All Hands and Hearts, to restore local schools.
